Trip Overview
Launched from the Seven Islands boat ramp (which is a separate parking lot just before the main park entry.) Paddled downstream 2 miles or so around the park and past the islands. We found a spot to picnic on the islands then headed back upstream to our cars. Really calm water and beautiful scenery, very little motor boat activity. TVA tailwaters elevation was 868-869. If I do this trip again I wouldn't go past the islands because there's many shallow areas and it's difficult to paddle back upstream.
