Water and lodge are visible from M8 motorway. Park roadside near Forrestburn Lodge next to the entry gate. Best road in is from Edinburgh side, rather than Lanarkshire side (road surface). Short walk from car to eater entry point next to the lodge. Very windy area and several changes of wind direction over a few hours.
Quite a few folk fishing and some wild swimmers too.
Not our fave place to go (wind) but really close to our home.
