Flint River in Michigan

Trip Overview

I have canoed this river every spring for the last three years. It's about and hour drive north from my home to a rural area with lots of state land.

This year I went a little sooner. There were several log jams, but nothing too bad. I put in at Millvillle Road where there is a nice access and pull off and went down to Norway Road. The bike ride back was peaceful also.

I suspect the jams may be cleared out soon, and suggest the canoe livery in town for rentals and current conditions.
