We've done this paddle many times, but this time was special...we met up with neighbors that became new friends. We took canoes, kayaks and my wife paddled her SUP (not recommended). Easy and beautiful 2.5 hour paddle with no stops. This portion of the Flat River is SHALLOW and slow. Easy to stand up and walk it if needed. Too shallow for a paddleboard with fin. My wife STRUGGLED with lots of bumps and scrapes and destroyed her fin. McPherson Bridge is massive and the sign that the takeout is coming up. Takeout just upstream of the wooden Covered Bridge on the right. Watch for anglers.
