Flat River in Michigan

Trip Overview

We put in at Whites Bridge and kayaked down to Fallasburg Bridge. Both bridges are very old covered wooden bridges. Handful of parking spots at Whites and plenty at Fallasburg.

My wife, 3 year old daughter went in the tandem and I in a single. Smooth sailing, quiet and lots of birds and wild life. It took about an hour and a half, perfect for the 3 year old and just enough exercise for us.

No one else but us that day. Water was a bit low but the kayaks did just fine. We will definitely be taking it again. Great area.
