It took me about 2 hours to paddle around most of the perimeter of the reservoir at a leisurely pace. It was very quiet with only a few motorboats. I saw a blue heron in flight and enjoyed looking at the pretty camps along the shore. There's a large parking lot that only had a few cars on a Friday afternoon in June. And the DEC boat launch was a really convenient and easy place to put my kayak in the water.
