DuPage River in Illinois

Trip Overview

Launched at Shorewood Dam and paddled down to channohon. Weather couldn't have been nicer. Not much to see on this leg, few houses and the like. Conditions were great. Enough H2o in the river to get by without any incident.

Accommodations:

Hammel woods has restroom facilities, however the launch is a little ways from parking so we had to carry canoe a short distance.

Directions:

launch at Hammel Woods, Shorewood Dam. Rt 59 north of 52. Took out at W Shepley and W Canal.
