Trip Overview
This trip was just what we were looking for - floating downstream, choosing when to paddle and when to let the current propel us, with a tiny bit of excitement in a few level 1 rapids.
We put in at 59 and route 30, but should have put in at a park on the east side of the river on the next bridge south where there appeared to be a better park.
We took out at the Michigan-Illinois canal. There were 3 of us, my husband and I and our 12 year old.

Directions:
IL-59 and route US-30 in Shorewood and we took out in Channahon, IL.
