Launched at Marshy Point Nature Center. Paddeled to Saltpeter Creek and Bengies Point.
Planned to paddle to Hart Miller Island, but too windy for that so settled for a peruse around this nice sheltered area.
Be aware that the signs around the Battery Point and Bengie's Point areas are for unexploded ordinance, so poking around on those beaches may not be wise. There are plenty of other little beaches and areas for checking out though.
all in all spent 2.5 hours and paddled 4.4 miles.
