Started at Independence Grove Libertyville (2:30 p.m.), upstream (North) to Rte. 120. Turned around due to fallen tree blocking river (4:00). Arrived back at Independence Grove (4:00). First trip in the new kayak and using the smaller roof carrier. Launch was very slippery with deep mud. Shallow river made for difficult launch due to fast current.
