Delta Mills to JC Park

A self-supported trip created by paddler462933

Trip Overview

This trip took us about 3 hours. Putting in at Delta Mills Park was easy. Good parking area and good launch area. We took inflatable kayaks on this route. It was easy to paddle down the river. There was no current to move you so you had to casually paddle. Late August, the river was pretty low because it hadn't rained in a while and had been hot. There are some good sights of the river, fields, parks, and woods. There are some low spots with rocks and logs so you have to be careful at certain areas. There are two spots where the rocks are so high it creates almost a dam to go over. Picking up at Jaycee Park is easy to spot and has a good setup for kayaking. There is also a new launch off of Willow that can cut this trip in half.

Portage Notes

Delta Mills and JC Park are easy places to put in and take out. Plenty of parking and good shore/ramps.
