Deer Creek Lake in Ohio

Trip Overview

We put in from the boat ramp just north of the Marina (39.619548 -83.250769). There were a lot of boats and there was a good bit of waves due to being an unlimited horsepower lake, however for 300 feet around all the shores it is no wake so the waves weren't too bad as we stuck to the shoreline and just north of that ramp it is all no wake so once we paddled north for a few minutes the waves died down and it was very peaceful.

Lots of people fishing from shore but not much in the way of boats since everyone was on the main part of the lake. It also looked like there were a few places on the west bank off of a road where you could put in potentially instead of messing with the crowd at the boat ramp.

Accommodations:

There are some bathrooms down a walkway on the west side of the parking lot.

Fees:

Boat license for kayak.

Directions:

From Columbus, OH:

Take 71 South to 3 South. Then get on 207 South and you will be turning left onto an Un-named road towards the Marina. Once you are on that road you will keep going straight following the signs for the boat ramp.
