Trip Overview

Went up river. Tried to make it to camp phillips road but the water got to a level of an inch deep. Lots of rocks. Could walk most of the way. Just past camp Sturtevant heavy rapids. Couldn't make it any further upstream. Seen deer, eagles and cranes. Fun area to paddle around with good scenery. Two old train trestles still in use. Going to attempt fishing it next time.

Safety Notes

Most of the water is shallow enough a child could stand up and walk around. Couple of deep holes though. Just don't get too close to the dam.

Portage Notes

Boat launch and a couple decent spots to put kayaks in.
