We parked under the the Cypresswood bridge at 8:30 am. The discharge rate of the creek this weekend was about 47 cu ft/sec. Unlike Spring creek (at carter park), we had plenty of water and didn't have to get out to walk on any section. The creek was beautiful, clean with tree lined sandy shores. We were able to spot a wide variety of birds (cranes, herons, hawks, sparrows, etc..). The total trip was a leisurely 3.2 miles in 2.5 hrs.
