First trips from the campsite at Thielen Bay: 1. Across the lake to just outside Whiskey Flats and, 2. NE through the connector into the channel behind Thielen Park. Very windy conditions, especially on Sunday, but not too difficult. Pleasure craft traffic was very heavy, so you really had to keep your eyes open and stick to the shore.
Safety Notes
Choppy winds out of the south made for some challenging conditions along with pleasure craft wakes. Took on some water.
Gear Notes
Lifetime Arrow 123s. New cupholders worked well. Picking up a bilge sponge and a sail for next weekend.
Conditions
Beach Bay was not as windy and coming out of the North.
