Trip Overview

We put in a the North Ramp near Tippecanoe. The ramp is just past a bridge and has parking for half a dozen vehicles with one ramp. Also, at the dam, there is a picnic area, flush toilets and playground. The dam is south of Tippecanoe but not near the ramp.

The lake has a limit of 10 horsepower so it's a quiet lake. Coming on a weekday near the end of summer was also nice for being quiet. The lake is gorgeous: numerous curves, completely forested hills up to the lake with the exception of the marina. We saw beavers, deer, fish, Canadian Geese and other birds. VERY SCENIC!

We kayaked from the north end of Clendening Lake to the marina where we pulled out and had a picnic lunch. There really isn't any place to pull out before then.

Accommodations:

I believe the marina has lodging and possibly a restaurant.

Directions:

Take 800 North above Tippecanoe and then right on CR6/Norris Road.
