Trip Overview

We travled from the Peter's bridge on the Clear Fork River to the Burnt Mill Bridge. 700cfs on the Robbins usgs gage. The first 6 miles are nice flat water with a few easy class II rapids. In this stretch we saw three otters and a beaver and countless fish and birds. Not another person the entire trip.

The next 5 miles past Brewster (hwy 52, big bridge can't miss it) were more difficult with one class III (Decapitaion Fork). Several strong class II rapids at this level. About 5 miles from Brewster Bridge White Oak Creek enters Clear Fork on the river left. Several more class II rapids before the takeout.

Good smallmouth and rock bass fishing along the way. This stretch is too long for most at 17 miles. Adventure seekers will want to skip the first 6 miles. Nature lovers who want a quieter float will love Peter's to Brewster. Float camping is an option as from Peter's down it is BSFNRA and there are many good spots along the river.
