Clark Fork River in Montana

Trip Overview

CFS 15000

Class IV- Paddling conditions Moderate

From Triple Bridges to Boat Take out Approx.6 mi

Time on water 45 min

River is near flood stage, high, brown, some partially submerged tree trunks, but no serious obstacles or dangers in rapids.

Strange hydrolics, most of the named rapids are submerged and large waves and sucking holes are in their place

Boat eater, and Boat flipper were not in play yet as water still seemed too high

Tumbleweed is a massive wave, but no drops since the rock is still underwater, same for fang

Public put-in, trailer parking, public put out, and trailer parking

From Missoula- Take I-90 heading north for about 40 miles

Bridge at TARKIO exit has been closed so you have to portage your boat down the road or take frontage road to putin
