Gentle current. River is 30 or 40 ft wide and shallow. Winds it's way meandering through farmland but from the river it just looks like wilderness. Lovely fall paddle upstream from launch. Three tricky blow downs to menuveur through. We will bring our battery powered chainsaw next time to open it up. Autumn leaves gently falling around us. Lovely paddle.
Safety Notes
Blowdowns make for tricky bits but the current is slow and the river is shallow. We made it through fine but getting wet is a possibility. Next time, chainsaw.
