Chebacco Lake in Massachusetts

A self-supported trip created by flyingslanted

Trip Overview

Public boat launch with free parking on the south side of the lake. It's a busy launch for motorboats but still easy to launch.

Because the amoeba shape of the lake and the smaller size, boaters are asked to move counter clockwise. There is a small island in the middle where people parked their kayaks to hang out and a few small quiet coves with some grasses and Lilly Pads.

It was pleasant, but I think it would be more pleasant if it were not a Sunday afternoon with temps approaching 90F. Week night might be more relaxing.

Accommodations:

Paved boat launch with about 14 parking spaces. One porta potty, which was very clean.

Fees:

No

Directions:

Off Route 1A, Rt 22 and find Chebacco Road.

Public boat launch and parking paved and on left.
