Causey Reservoir

Trip Overview

Causey Reservoir is a beautiful explorative kayak trip for an afternoon. However, it can be very crowded, and the loading/unloading access is terrible and there are no facilities. We went on Labor Day and there were A LOT of people, but it was a holiday and there were many swimmers. I would it expect it to be much less crowded and beautiful in late spring or early fall when it is too cool to swim. Some were attempting to fish but it was too crowded. Maybe better luck at a different time...
