Trip Overview

We left a vehicle near the old city water plant directly across for the Courthouse on Hwy 84. We drove up to the bridge about a mile up, turn right before crossing the bridge and drove deep up into blue springs, from the dam 10.5 miles.

Immediately we were in class 2 rapids, and also encountered some intense strainers, brief class 3 rapids, and had to cross the old mill dam by pushing ourselves threw a break in the rock! After that pretty much flat water,fantastic scenery!

But we paddled a solid 5 hrs, never got out of the yaks, it was brutal lol! But we loved every minute! Due to water levels it's at times impassable during summer months! But dangerous in the late fall, early spring!

Accommodations:

Boat ramp by the dam, park and enter there traveling north (or to your right)!

Hwy 84 across from the White County Court House 3/4 of a mile to boat ramp on left!
