Trip Overview

I've paddled this section many times and it is always fun. very easy paddle and deep water most of the time. when water is low, may have to get out but not for long. beautiful scenery and have never seen another kayak or canoe anytime i have been. trip is 8.2 miles of water travel and time depends on water level. i have done it in as little as 2 1/2 hours and as long as 7 hours because of stops (and a hammock nap). no shuttle service so make sure to have vechiles at begining and the end. can use river rd to travel between the two. hwy 77 bridge is a dirt path the leads to river access, hwy 17 bridge is a boat ramp for easy exit of river.
