Bouie River (Creek on map) from Hwy 49 to Peps Point Road
We put in at the boat ramp where US 49 crosses the Bouie River and pulled out at the boat ramp where Pep's Point Road crosses the river. It's a good 6 mile trip that took us 3 hours with a few rest stops on the way. The river is a little low (1.7' according to NOAA) so we had to drag in a few spots.
With the river low there were a lot of logs across that made it a little of a challenge, but overall it was a good scenic float.
Public boat ramp at both ends of trip.
To start take US 49N out of Hattiesburg ~5 miles past I-59, when you cross the Bouie River Bridge make a U-turn to the south bound lane. The boat ramp is next to the Magnolia bar.
To get to the Pep's Point Road ramp take US 49N out of Hattiesburg about 2 miles north of I-59 there is a red light for Pep's Point Road on the right. Follow a few miles to far side of river bridge, ramp is on left
