This is a wonderful trip, very rare to see another soul except going by conservation park. Lots of ducks geese eagles occasional otter and beaver. Can only be done in high water in spring. I’ve done this every spring for years. Biggest problem now is Charles City County and VDOT has closed access at Long Bridge contrary to Corp of Engineers dictate that the old road bed be open for recreational access to the river. I would love help in reversing this decision!!
