This is one of our favorite kayaking destinations in the Pacific Northwest, and is just a couple of hours drive from Seattle. It is also a great place to camp for an overnight kayaking trip. The island is fun to explore. Beautiful beaches on the west side. Also, 3 Cascadia Marine Trail campsites at the west beach. Highly recommended for kayakers that want to try camping as the Blake Island campsite has drinking water, flush toilets, showers, a cafe, and store. There is also a fast ferry from Seattle and kayak rental on the island at Tillicum Village for those that are just starting with kayaking, or just want to do a day trip around Blake Island and try out some of the latest kayak rental gear.
