This stream seems to have new dead fall every trip you make. Be prepared for an amazing amount of time spent pulling over or hacking through.

At very low levels, it may be impassable.

Putting in as described in the previous post, one may head upstream and find the way reasonably clear (most of the time) to Lake Norris.

Very interesting cyprus trees that are short and gnarly, unlike any I've seen elsewhere.

Lake Norris is a lovely lake to paddle, with very few homes on the bank.

Directions:

S.R. 44 east from Eustis to 439 north to 44A east to Lake Norris road north to small bridge. You can park at bridge or at conservation area. Take out is on 44A about 3 miles east of Lake Norris road. Very little parking here
