Trip Overview

Kayaked Tour 3 of the Blackstone River & Canal Guide.

Started at the River Bend Farm and kayaked to the northern end of the canal. Had to portage from the Canal to the River at the Hartford Ave Dam. The water level was fairly low.

This tour of the River has many twists turns and some fun rapids. Be ready to find yourself aground if you don't watch the flow of the rapids with low water levels. You can check the water level at the Hartford Ave Spillway. Paddle south until you hit the Stanley Woolen Mill and portage back to the Canal. Paddle north back to the River Bend Farm.

All in all a great trip with some fun swirling rapids. I would consider this a advanced beginner level
