Trip Overview

Blackstone River from Plummers Landing to River Bend Farm
We decided after doing the River Bend Farm Trip on Sept 26th from the bridges down to Rt 16 we would Try the Plummers Landing Trip. Well, much to our dismay, it rained all day Saturday and we had to wait till Sunday to go.
The water went from a a little over 100 cfps on our first trip to just under 600...

OK so this was not for beginners like us. The water was moving very quickly and was manageable for approx 90% of the trip. There was just one section where we were forced into a triple tree strainer that capsized me and sent my partner off with a boat full of water. With some help from some more experienced paddlers, I was able to recover my paddle, right my ship, and continue on... Needless to say we got a great lesson in water flow and how to read the USGS water tables.

Overall this was a great trip and we look forward to giving it another go when the water level drops some.
