Trip Overview

Big Piney Creek in Dover Arkansas is a class II-solid III strip of water from Heltons farm to Long Pool Recreation. The trip is 10 miles of excitement, very little flat water, some big holes and an easy shuttle. You will start off a Heltons farm and will have about a half mile of flat water then several class III's. Half way through the trip you will have a few tough rapids, so pick your lines wisely, then an awesome surfing hole, finally the mother hole, this is a big rock were the water runs right into it so stay to your right and paddle hard, split the two rocks just ahead and you have made it out of trouble. There will be several more rapids down the final couple of miles, so enjoy the wildlife and waterfalls along your trip. You can rent a boat or raft and get a shuttle very close to the creek at Moore Outdoors canoe rentals. Have fun!
