Trip Overview

A random sunny afternoon on November 11th. We took two cars, put in near Osprey Lake, and left the other car at the Trapper John's take out off the corner of 71 & 665. We had 2.3 feet of water at a flow of 70 cubic feet/second.

Any lower depth may have been too shallow. But we enjoyed a couple of challenging spots and nice stretches of open water with no one out on the river. We saw a turtle fall backwards off a log when we startled him. Lots of birds, a very large blue herring was particularly impressive.

Total time - 2 hours.

Directions:

From Columbus, take 71 South to the OH-665 West/ London Groveport Road. Right on 665. Stay true until you see the river.
