Guard shack charged us $5 for day pass. There is a boat ramp to launch from or sandy beach.
It's a nice area to paddle around in! The coves are awesome. Was choosing between this Appalachia Bay, this was a nice area, smaller and secluded. Didn't see any boat traffic, but you do need to keep an eye out for it.
We fought the wind going back to load up, not bad. The wind also made some fun wakes to paddle through.
Good place to spend a couple hours and enjoy nature.
