Baker Lake Paddling

Trip Overview

We put our SUPs in at Swift Creek campground alongside the swimming area. We mostly paddled the northeast arm of Baker Lake. Because of debris in the water (easy to paddle around), water skiers and other power boats stayed on the south arm of the lake, which made this paddle easy, quiet, and peaceful. The day was warm and the water not too cold, so swimming from the paddleboards was enjoyable.

We camped in a site close enough to the water to carry our gear to the water.

There is also day use parking available for $5.

This area and this lake was beautiful. I recommend paddling there and I would definitely go again.
