Trip Overview

Back Creek is part of the Indian Creek watershed that runs into the Yough. It is formed in part from Neals Run that runs sorta off the back side of Seven Springs Ski resort. Normally the creeks are much too low to run except after a lot of ran. This creek was just runable with the Laurel Hill creek running at 3.5 ft at Ursina. It is roughly tant 2.5 mile run at constant class II-. Lots of little ledge drops and wave trains. The big problem is strainers across the creek. There is also barb wire at the Dahl bridge. When the other streams are too high this might be worth exploring. Clearing of strainers might make it more enjoyable run down the road.
