Jordan River, Lehi UT

Trip Overview

Easy kayak style SUP up the river for 1.5 miles, and relaxing float back down the river. I saw ducks, cranes, and lots of other birds. The mink farms in this area are stinky, it smells like a dead animal is rotting on the side of the river bank. Next time I'll take Vicks to see it that helps get through the gross smelling part. It didn't last too long, and I forgot about it until I was headed back and hit it again. The river did have an advisory, but I didn't plan on getting in the water, so I felt safe being on my iSUP. In some places the water was only a couple feet deep, other places I couldn't feel the bottom with my paddle. It was evening, and the breeze was from the North, so that helped paddling up river.
