This was a very nice lake and can be very busy on weekends. There is a large parking area for boat trailers and fishermen's cars. You'll need a Discover Pass. There are plenty of spots to do a beach launch. We started clockwise from the launch which kept the feel more natural. The lake is very big and has houses. But there is plenty of natural shoreline to explore. We paddled for about 3 hours and didn't get close to seeing it all. What we did see was plenty of bald eagles (young and adult) flying, sitting in trees and diving for food.
