Trip Overview

I paddled on the Abermarle Sound at Edenton North Carolina. It was like paddling back in time. The town of Edenton was built in the 1700's on the waterfront. The Historic downtown area has been restored. Paddling along the waterfront through Cypress Trees growing up out of the water is a fun paddle. It is like sight seeing from by kayak. Paddled from the downtown area right to the old lighthouse. It was a fun day trip. There was a great dock to put in right there in the town park. Tie your boat up and walk into town to dine at Kramer's Bistro or Mario's Italian Restaurant. The town is a very safe place. I had both of my kayaks and my 2 bikes on my car at the motel for 3 nights and it was never bothered. If you would like a peaceful paddling get away try paddling Edenton North Carolina.
