Aiken State Park in South Carolina

Trip Overview

This is a wonderful place. I do this trip about once a month, since we live about 25 mins away. With the exception of a small tree down right before you get to the take out dock, but you can get over it without getting out of your canoe.

The state park now has a number of canoe's, but only two kayak's for rent. The kayak's are often out for repair. The cost is $15 for each each boat. They also have small flat bottom boats you can rent by the hour for the ponds.

Accommodations:

You can camp at the state park or stay in one of the hotels in Aiken.

Fees:

$2 per person to enter the park and $15 per kayak or canoe. This includes your life jackets and paddles.

Directions:

Take 302 or 78 to state park road and look for the signs.
