Trip Overview
A CA state park that is accessible by boat only. Beautiful underground springs and numerous ancient Indian fish traps. Abundant wildlife/waterfowl.
Uncrowded due to remoteness. Abundant water passages to explore. There is primitive camping at the state park. Mosquitoes abundant mid summer. Can be windy.
Accommodations:
Primitive boat camping in the aprk. Otherwise need to find a motel in Fall River Mills or campground at Burney Falls State Park near Burney, CA. Also, RV park at Fairground in McArthur.

Directions:
Hwy 299E from Redding, CA. Approx 1 1/2 hrs to town of McArthur. Turn Left to "Rat Farm" behind Fairgrounds. Go approx. 4 miles to parking area.
