Bullard's Bar is my new favorite place to SUP - but only on weekdays! Set directions to the Dark Day Boat Ramp in any given weekday and I guarantee you'll have no issues accessing the water and floating around with little interruption. Weekends are a different story; motorized boats are allowed on this body of water and weekends can get a little crazy with parking, children/families everywhere, constant load-ins/load-outs of motorized crafts, and some fairly choppy waves from those crafts.
Could not recommend this place enough for weekday excursions, though. So much to explore, so many nooks and beaches to lay out at, and such an easy load-in/only experience.
