Join Tropical Sea Kayaking for a 9-Day escape kayaking the unknown San Blas archipelago existing of 365 tiny tropical islands set in the Caribbean sea right off the coast of Panama. Experience the true meaning of paradise while paddling from one deserted island to the other. Protected by the outer reef, you will paddle the warm, crystal clear waters crossing canals, and along stretches of mangrove forests, and into fresh water rivers flowing down from the jungle mountains that dominate the coastline. Besides the cultural aspect of the trip, you will get to enjoy paradise as you’ve all imagined it. This is an all-inclusive trip with all transportation, meals, guides, support boat, first & last night in Panama City + staying at 5 (private) islands. More importantly, this motorized boat can carry all people in the group in case of exhaustion, or an emergency.
All gear is provided during this trip: Sturdy 16-ft Current Design sit-inside kayaks w/ rudder including paddle, skirt, and life jacket. Spacious tents, air mattrasses, chairs, tables, hammocks, etc. Although do have masks & snorkels are available, most people bring their own as snorkeling is considered world class!
No mosquitos! Islands with no standing water are chosen, and during the kayaking season there's a constant breeze, taking care of 99% of the mosquitos. In general the days are sunny, with luckily partial cloud coverage (no extreme heat).
The waters are great for active paddlers, since you will encounter some currents, surf, and mild waves (nothing extreme). You will also experience calm waters, protected by local reefs, islands, and mangrove forests. Kayakers don't need to be experts, but paddling experience is highly recommended!
