We live in Aurora, so this is our "go-to" kayaking spot. There is a gravel area to put in behind the building/pavilion, to the right of the fishing pier. It's easy for us to carry our kayaks down to the edge. It's a beautiful spot with a large walking trail circling the lake. Always, lots of people there walking or running. We've seen bald eagles and beautiful, majestic Great Blue Heron too. We usually spend about an hour kayaking around the whole lake, although I always want to stay longer!
