Description
Location: Land Between the Lakes, Stewart County, Tennessee, Road 234 GPS: N 36 29’ 25.32” W 88 01’ 57.51” Directions to Access Point: Beginning at Highway 79 in Dover, Tennessee, turn north on Road 230; turn left on Road 234. Amenities: Developed Campground – Defined campsites, courtesy dock, fire rings and/or grills, RV hookups, flush restrooms, shower buildings, outpost store and potable water. Nightly camping fees apply. Reservations available. Cabin rentals may be available. Parking: 25 paved spaces Restrictions: Must camp to unload. Safety: Wear your life jacket. Know your skills and limits. Wind and weather can create dangerous conditions. Let someone know where you are going and when you plan to return. Plan to “Pack it in; pack it out!” South from Piney Campground North 1.5 miles south by the water trail to the Piney Campground South access point. Safety: Be aware of the wind and weather forecast. Time Allotment: 45 minutes Trail Description: The trail leads you out of Piney Bay, along the shoreline of the Piney Campground to the Piney Campground South access point. Wildlife Viewing: Cultural Features: Natural Features: Fishing Information: North from Piney Campground North 1 mile north by the water trail to the St. Mary’s Church access point. Safety: Be aware of the wind and weather forecast. Time Allotment: 30 minutes Trail Description: The trail takes you into both branches of Piney Bay and to the St. Mary’s Church access point.
