Walk down the steps from N Mc Clurg Ct (between E Illinois St and E North Water St). There are two sets of steps at the North and South sides of the Ogden Slip inlet. At the bottom of each set of steps is a platform which is great for setting up your equipment, such as an inflatable kayak. You can paddle down the inlet under a bridge of Lake Shore Drive and turn right out into the Chicago River.
