Description
Boat launch from Norwood Lake is just a short walk down and path, down a few stairs to the launch point. There is a dock, a ease in boat landing, or you can launch is about a foot of water on the shore. This lake has a creek that can be accessed for a little ways one way and if you paddle across, you can Portage your boat about 50 feet up and over a hill where the dam is and have access to lake Norman close to Hicks Creek. From the dam you can travel north up the channel to Hicks Creek. You cant go too far up Hicks creek once you arrive at the mouth, but it's cool to check out. Water is very shallow close to the creek but a kayak will maneuver fine... just keep an eye out for shallow spots.
