Location Overview

Location: Land Between the Lakes, Lyon County, Kentucky, Road 102 GPS: N 36 59’ 15.7” W 88 11’ 55.29” Directions to Access Point: Beginning at I-24, travel south on the Woodlands Trace Scenic Byway; turn east onto Road 102. Amenities: Basic Campground – Defined campsites, fire rings and/or grills, picnic tables, vault toilets, trash removal, mowed areas, courtesy dock and a boat ramp. Basic Camping Permit required. Parking: 12 gravel spaces Restrictions: None Safety: Wear your life jacket. Know your skills and limits. Wind and weather can create dangerous conditions. Let someone know where you are going and when you plan to return. Plan to “Pack it in; pack it out!” East from Nickell Branch Campground 4 miles east by the water trail to the Willow Bay access point. Safety: Be aware of the wind and weather forecast. Time Allotment: 2 hours Trail Description: The trail leads you through several small bays, into Willow Bay and to the Willow Bay access point.
