Mcnary National Wildlife Refuge

Burbank, US

Description

The Casey Pond boat launch allows access onto a large pond isolated from the Columbia River by the railroad berm. There is a small cut under the railroad that allows access to the main river. As you enter the Columbia River the land on both sides is managed by the US Fish and Wildlife Service as part of McNary National Wildlife Refuge. Area is well sheltered by land on each side. Paddling out to the edge of the main Columbia River will give great views of Wallula Gap.

The Refuge (including the boat launch) are open sunrise to sunset.
