Very beautiful lake with beautiful wildlife. No cottages! There are two portages to get to the lake McCrae. The first one is from parking area to the launch point on lake McDonald, about 100 m and very easy. The second one is to bypass the rapid water between the lake McDonald and lake McCrae which is about 200 m and more difficult.
