The bank is about a foot high but there are boat loops within reach to tie to while launching. You can travel approximately 2.1 mile before hitting a lock. Industrial and goes under the motorway but you'll have the water to yourself and mainly peaceful and quiet. If you go under the lift bridge its only 400m to a lock but portage over that and its another pleasant mile to the next lock.. Parking in lay-by on the road. Road can get busy during rush hour but mainly quiet. On the water licence required £45 for the year.
