You can rent single and tandem yaks here at a privately owned launch point. (Ocean Kayak brand, Malibu 11.5 for singles.) Paddles and PFDs included in rental. Then you paddle upstream or out to the ocean or both. 6 miles round trip if you include both. Very low current.
High likelihood you will see many herons, turtles and Nenes if you head inland.
